Environement Arcticle Summary

Tracking bands put penguins’ lives at risk

Scientists  have been putting flipper bands on penguins to test climate change. Scientists have recently discovered that the flipper bands on the penguins actually have been causing more harm then helping. Over a ten year study they have found out that penguins with these bands on them will have a 16 percent less survival rate. 36 percent penguins with the bands will have fewer offspring than one without one.
