2010 ties 2005 as warmest year on record worldwide 

2010 and 2005 are the warmest years on record worlwide. Both years were .62 higher than normal. Scientist's are concerned about the rising global temperatures and the gases that are being released into are air. 2010 was not only the warmest year recorded but also the wettest. Rain and snow patterns changed dramatically over the past year.

At least 99 killed in Brazil after torrential rain, mudslides 

Heavy summer rains in Rio De Janeiro has tore through the states mountains and it killed  99 people in 24 hours. Rescuers have been digging night and day to try and find and one trapped under the mud and water. There has been 150 deaths in Rio De Janeiro since Christmas time many from heavy rains and devastating mudslides

Animals stranded in Australian flooding

With rapid and deadly flood waters in Austrailia animals are left stranded in water with no where to go. The flood has threatened almost 20,000 homes in Australia's third largest city. Animals and people are trying to flee but some got stuck in the water with little help

A year later, Haiti remains a ruined land 

One of year of after the a devastating wiped out parts of Haiti; Haiti is still in need of major repair. The finger has been pointed at many people, but the people to blame the most is the Haiti Government. Canada is ready and willing to lend a land but the Haiti government is taking to long to make decisions on which projects needs to be made. Canada is planning on donation over 250 million dollars this year.

Carbon capture leak forces Saskatchewan couple to leave farm 

A Saskatchewan couple started to wonder what was going on when they found some dead animal in a gravil pit by there farm. The water was also full of algae and foaming water was coming out of the ground. What the couple didn't know is that there home was under the worlds largest carbon capture and storage project. The greenhouse gas were supposed to be injected underground, but were leaking out.

Tracking bands put penguins’ lives at risk

Scientists  have been putting flipper bands on penguins to test climate change. Scientists have recently discovered that the flipper bands on the penguins actually have been causing more harm then helping. Over a ten year study they have found out that penguins with these bands on them will have a 16 percent less survival rate. 36 percent penguins with the bands will have fewer offspring than one without one.

U.S. official accuses WikiLeaks of risking lives

The US State Department has stated that the recent release of government documents is a serious problem, and that that can put many lives in danger and that the documents should not be made public.
I think that every single one of those documents should be made public because everyone should know what's going on in their own country and the country shouldn't be doing things that they don't want the public knowing about.
